Who is he …
Dominique Dalais is the Head of Physical Education and teaches Grade 6 Physical Education at Chadwick International. This is Dominique's 21st year as a teacher, having taught in England, France, China and Switzerland before moving to Korea. This is his 13th year in MYP and has taught PYP for 8 years. He is also a trained IB Workshop Leader.
Scope & Sequence and Curriculum Overviews
Dominique will be presenting different ways of developing your Scope and Sequence and how your Curriculum Overview could be developed and organized. You can see his presentation here.
Creating Task Specific Clarifications
Dominique will be discussing the use of task specific clarifications or unit specific rubrics/descriptors. How he has developed his over the years and and how he presents these to the students.
Reflection in PYP/MYP
Dominique will be sharing various ways of doing reflection tasks with students of both MYP and PYP. What he has done in the past and what he hopes to develop in the future. He is hoping that other ideas will be shared in this session.
Martial Arts in Physical Education
I will be sharing ways in which to incorporate Martial arts into physical education, focussing on including it as a creative movement unit. I have also used it as a mini session for grade 11/12 sport and leisure, an after school activity and self-defense class.
