Who is he...
Joost Langendonck has been in International Education since 2001. He has taught in Chile, Singapore and Germany but is presently teaching in Seoul, South Korea. His experience in education ranges from Head of Department, Athletic Director and Activities Coordinator including teaching MYP and PYP for over 10 years. Together with his wife, he keeps a website and blog about various topics in Physical Education having special interest in integrating ICT into the Physical Education curriculum. Inquiry in LS Physical Education
Joost will be sharing his views on what inquiry is and how it can drive the learning in Lower School Physical Education. What is our role and how can planning and teaching strategies support the inquiry we planned for. Participants are strongly encouraged to share their thoughts and teaching strategies that promote inquiry based learning.
Assessment in LS Physical Education
During this session we will inquire into the meaning and role of assessment. How assessment can be integrated, supporting an active and engaging PE unit. Joost will share his ideas, strategies, worksheet samples and tools (including ICT) for a variety of units, both stand alone as well as integrated.
